Adam Dunkel
Adam Dunkel started training Jiu-Jitsu in 2005 and is a Ralph Gracie black belt. He started teaching kid’s in 2006, adults in 2008, and has helped to grow and build several gyms in the Bay Area. Adam and Stephanie have two daughters together that both train in the kid’s Jiu-Jitsu programs. Adam aims to build confident and determined kids through the hard work and grit Jiu Jitsu requires to become a black belt.
As a competitor, he was the 5x U.S. Open Champion gold medalist, 2x brown belt, 1x purple belt and 2x blue belt, 2009 adult blue belt IBJJF Pan American Championship gold medalist, Bronze medalist in the 2013 IBJJF Nogi World Championships adult brown belt division. Adam retired from fighting with a record of 2-0 in MMA and 3-0 in Muay Thai Kickboxing. Adam considers himself a student of martial arts and continues to seek knowledge and experience training all over the US. He is an innovative coach and technical genius who enjoys teaching Jiu Jitsu to kids and adults alike. His simple, effective teaching style makes it easy for newcomers to learn the basic moves quickly and easily.
